Semis are not that crowded & I take a crack at valuing Intel (model attached)
Hi Doug, the Discord invites you attached in a previous piece is invalid, could you provide again? Thanks.
can you email me at dougolaughlin@gmail?
Why are you saying semicap is underowned?
I don’t think semicap is quite underowned - but rather deserving a rerate. I do think all of semis is underowned from a L/S perspective
Are these views based on relative valuations or some other data point?
Some of it is based on positioning data from prime brokers but i am not at liberty to share.
Look - in a degrossing (which did happen in market) popular longs go down and popular shorts go up - which I think in Tech TMT this is what happened.
Semicap within semis is popular but semis as a whole category still really is not that popular. That's my read - hope that makes sense.
FYI: BofA published a report a few days ago saying investors are overweight Semi and expect 5% outperformance over S&P in 2022.
If you could send it to me at doug@fabricatedknowledge.com I would appreciate it!
Also some of the positioning stuff I saw was from CS
Yes, makes sense. Thanks!
